The elective chemistry courses in SP training

One of the directions of the improvement secondary school effectiveness and perfection of its work is implementing the system of special studies. It means the introduction of elective courses in special subjects into the syllabus of 10 and 11 forms. We have worked out two versions of the following courses: «Introduction in pharmaceutical chemistry» and «Laboratory methods of researches in clinic».

Smectic А (Sa) mixes for field structural realignment of mesofhase

Matrix mesogen compositions on the base of phenyl esthers of alkylbensoic acid derivatives and cyanobiphenyls with various nematic and smectic compounds and ionogenic additives are used to show the principal possibility to extend temperature range of smectic Sa phase existence, to change its anisotropic characteristics and to improve information displays work parameters.

Conversion of lewisite detoxcation pdoducts into arsenic oxide (Ш)

An end-stage technology of processing the products of arsenic-containing lewisite detoxification has been developed with reference to chemical disarmament. The production of pure (99.0 to 99.9995 wt% Аз2Оз) commercial arsenic oxide (III) is a feature of the technology.

Physicochemical regularities of the processes of making and using of hybrid polymatrix composite materials

A methodology of making and effective usage of composite materials based on multicomponent natural and technogenic raw materials has been developed, which implies the implementation of: a proper theoretical concept; some established relations between the master characteristic function, process parameters and performance indices; physicochemical and information criteria of matrix selection; a system of computer graphic studies; a manufacturing technique to afford excellent performance and multifunctionality for the composites.

Liquid crystal state and optical activity of compli cellulose esters

Regularities and a possible siructure formation mechanism in the system cellulose acetate - mesophasogenic solvent (forming а lyotropic LC phase with the polymer) are considered. The influence of vapours of accompanied by changes in the supramolecular structure of the cellulose ester and the spatial organization of macromolecules. Small doses of absorbed vapours were found to affect the structure and optical activity most stronger, which may be atiributed to роуmer-solvent interactions in the deep right-hand region of the state diagram.

Solubility diagram of the ternary system water + methanol + n.dodecane at 25°C

Solubility diagram of the system water+methanol+n.dodecane а 25°C was studied by means of the method of isothermal titration and the method of sections for the first time. The diagram of the ternary system under study was found to be characterized by а band-like delamination region and the presence of a binary system with the predominance of water-methanol interaction.

N-substituted arylamines in differential catalymetric determination of iridium (IV) and rhodium (III)

Kinetic of oxidation of N-methyldiphenylamine-4-sulfonic acid (MDASA) and triphenylamine-4-sulfonic acid (TPASA) by periodate ions in the weak-acidic medium is investigated at the presence of iridium (IV), rhodium (1) and their mixtures. The rate constants of MDASA and TPASA oxidation reactions by periodate ions at the presence of individual catalysts and their mixtures are determined.

Reactivity and quantitative structure - property relationships: a brief review of the line of scientific inquiry

A brief overview of the author's line of scientific inquiry has been presented. Discussed are results of the establishment of predictive structure — property relationships, the study of relationship between the substances reactivity and the molecules electronic structure, the elucidation of mechanisms of chemical reactions and the allowance for medium effects on their proceeding, the solving of other interpretational tasks of chemistry. The problems of systematization and generalization of the information resources on natural sciences, on ecology are also involved.

The influence of organic solvents on the spectral characteristic _ of Pyren in micellar solutions of sodium dodecylsulfate

lt has been shown that the nature of organic solvent usually selected for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) extraction from the object can influence on its absorption, fluorescence, and phosphorescence intensity in micellar solutions of sodium dodecylsulphate. Among examined acetonitrile, ethanol, acetone, and hexane only two last solvents can be recommended for determination of by procedure based on miceller fluorimetry or room temperature phosphorimetry.

Liquid chromatography in mobile phases on the base of surfactants: regularities and peculiarities

Experimental data on the use of surfactants as modifiers of mobile and stationary phases in liquid chromatography have been analyzed. The features of micellar and ion-pair version of liquid chromatography, as well as dynamic and static modifications of stationary phases with surfactants, have been considered, Regularities and peculiarities of chromatographic behaviour of different sorbates have been discussed,
