A Quantum-Chemical Investigation of Water – Monatomic Alcohols System

A quantum-chemical calculation of characteristics of aliphatic alcohols and water molecules as well as their compounds is carried out. It's shown that these substances are the strongly associated liquids of definite structure. The structure of water-alcohol associates with different ratios of components is considered.

Topological Transformation of the Phase Diagram of the Ternary Sodium Nitrate – Water – Acetonitrile System

Phase equilibria and critical phenomena in the ternary sodium nitrate – water – acetonitrile system, where the constituent binary liquid system is characterized by phase separation with an upper critical solution temperature, were studied by means of the visual-polymermal method within –5…+80°C.

Nikuzashina Natalia Ivanovna (1916–1985): on her 90th Birthday

Professor Dr Chem. Sci. Natalia Ivanovna Nikuzashina is a noted scientist in the field of physicochemical analysis and heterogeneous equilibria. The main field of her research interests is physicochemical analysis of heterogeneous condensed states of multicomponent systems.

Ecological World Outlook as a Component of Culture of Human Society

In the present scientifically-methodical article authors write the brief story about the development of ecological world outlook and about problems of the human's level of ecological culture's increasing, they write about the need to humanize all spheres of peoples action with aim to reduce the degree of ecological crisis situation which appears in different regions o

Recreation Changing of Forest Habitat Ecological Capacity (on Bird's Community Example)

Bird habitat capacity depends of forest community vertical heterogeneity in a most degree. Recreation intensively and force have a great influence on forest habitats organization and as a consequence – changes in bird species diversity and total breeding birds abundance.

Main Trends in Bird Propagation Dynamics in the Northern Lower-Volga Region under Varying Climate Conditions

Problems of bird propagation dynamics in the northern Lower-Volga region under the influence of natural environmental factors and in the course of evolutionally-caused historical processes are discussed. Main trends in climate variations within the last millennia are considered.

Characterization of the Lipopolysaccharide of the Diazotrophic Rhizobacterium Azospirillum Brasilense Sr55

This work was undertaken to investigate the lipopolysaccharide from gram-negative, plant-growth-promoting diazotrophic rhizobacterium Azospirillum brasilense SR55 isolated from the roots of wheat in Saratov oblast. The lipopolysaccharide was extracted from the outer membrane with phenol, and its chemical makeup was studied.

Influence of Cadmium Ions on Aminotransferase Activity in the Offspring of White Female Rats

The article is addressed to changes in the activity of essential enzymes of nitrogen metabolism in the offspring exposed to toxic influence in the neonatal period. Possible mechanisms of these changes are discussed.

Biodegradation of Petroleum Hydrocarbons by Strain Dietzia Maris and Its Genetic Peculiarities

The ability of strain Dietzia maris AM3, isolated from oil-silme, for active utilization of petroleum hydrocarbons was shown. Plasmids (size, near 54 kb) were found in this strain, capable of degrading petroleum hydrocarbons by 50–70% both in acid and in neutral media.

Influence of Microwaves on the Morphology of Aqueous Solutions of Polydryl Alcohol

The nature of influence of microwaves on the process of dissolution of a crystallizable polymer, the primary level of supramolecular order and the formation kinetics of the secondary one in aqueous solutions of polydryl alcohol was studied. Microwaves were found to significantly reduce the period of visually-controlled dissolution of the polymer.
