excitation energy transfer

Excitation energy transfer in europium complexes with doxycycline in the presence of surfactant micelles and silver nanoparticles

Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic used to treat infections in humans and in veterinary medicine as a prophylactic drug and growth stimulant. For this reason, residual amounts of antibiotics in milk, meat and other food products can cause resistance and the development of allergies. In this regard, constant monitoring of residual contents of tetracyclines in food products, environmental objects, and biological fl uids is required.

Luminescent Properties of Samarium (III) in the Presence of Same Tetracycline Derivatives

Manifestation system to effect luminescence complexes of samarium (III) and gadolinium (III) in the presence of thenoyltrifluoroacetone and 1,10-phenanthroline. Increased intensity supersensitivity transition in luminescent ion complexing agent depends on the nature of the ligand and the formation of micro- and nanoparticles in the system. It is found that in the presence of tetracycline derivatives sensitized fluorescence intensity decreases.

Fluorimetric Determination of Pefloxacin in Pharmaceutical Preparation

It is shown that pefloxacin forms a terbium complexes in neutral and mildly acidic conditions which are characterized by energy transfer. It is found that the micellar surfactant medium energy transfer efficiency increases. The maximum increase sensitized fluorescence intensity is observed in the presence of SDS micelles. A fluorimetric method for determination of pefloxacin in the drug was developed.
