The Volgograd reservoir is a highly complex hydrological system. The locations of fi sh watering holes, which are situated in an abyssal area of the Volgograd reservoir, have been well established for a long time. Meanwhile, fi sh watering holes exist in areas of the bed of the Volgograd reservoir as well. However, their determination is not always possible and is complicated due to the small size and shallow depth of the watering holes.

Изучены видовой состав и распространение видов семейства Осоковые (Cyperaceae Juss.) на антропогенных местообитаниях южной части Приволжской возвышенности (в границах Саратовской области): урбанизированных территорий, техногенных участков, искусственных лесных насаждений, агроценозов. Выявлено 27 видов (или 47,4% от всех осоковых исследуемого региона). Активнее всего представители данного семейства осваивают техногенные местообитания (железнодорожные насыпи, искусственные водоемы, кюветы, карьеры, котлованы и т.д.).

We would like to provide results of examination of community landscape at four landmarks located in the central part of the city of Saratov (Detskiy Park and three parkways: at Rakhova street, Astrakhanskaya street and Kosmonavtov embankment). The list of diverse species of trees and shrubs includes 58 species from 38 geni and 20 families. We have found out that species diversity of general purpose community landscapes increases gradually. We have studied biometric parameters of the trees (height, trunk diameter, crown diameter) and their life status.
