Some Features of Growth of Etiolated Plants in the Aspect of Implementation of Donor-Acceptor Relations

The object of the study was sprouts of spring soft wheat Triticum aestivum L. Cultivation was carried out in a climatic chamber at a temperature of 18 ± 1° C. As a control, plants grown during the photoperiod day / night 16/8 were used. Some features of the growth and development of Triticum aestivum L. plants were revealed under etiolation conditions. It was established that differences in the length of the root system of etiolated and control seedlings are determined by the length of the roots of the upper tier.

Some Features of Implementation of Source-Sink Relations in Violation of the Integrity of the Root System of Seedlings of Triticum aestivum L.

The object of the study was sprouts of spring soft wheat Triticum aestivum L. Cultivation was carried out in a climatic chamber at a temperature of 18 ± 1°C under the conditions of a sixteen-hour photoperiod and complete etiolation. The experiment was carried out in the following options: removed the main germinal root; decapitation; removed the lower tier of germinal roots. Removing part of the root system of plants cultivated under a sixteen-hour photoperiod increases the root index and reduces the total length of the root system.

The Features of Growth of the Primary Root System of Triticum durum Desf. Varieties of the Saratov Breeding

The objects of the study were plants of 14 varieties of durum wheat Triticum durum Desf. Cultivation was carried out in a climatic chamber at a temperature of 18 ± 1°C under the conditions of a sixteen-hour photoperiod. To study the growth characteristics of the root system of seedlings, the length of the main root and the length of the adventitious roots of the upper and lower tiers were measured; thus, the growth rate of the root system was determined.
