radionuclides

Acid extraction of radionuclides from soil samples using autoclave decomposition

The specifi cs of the nuclear tests carried out on the territory of the former Semipalatinsk test site (STS) led to the emergence of various sites that diff er in levels of radioactive contamination and radionuclide composition. This also led to a signifi cant diff erence in the solubility of radioactive particles.

Assessment of the Environmental Safety of Some Building Materials and Products

In recent years, much attention is paid to the environmental safety of industrial materials and products widely used in the construction of residential and public buildings. Housing quality is influenced by the choice of «clean» construction materials not containing any chemical substances harmful to human health, namely: mercury, lead, cadmium, chromium, their salts and isotopes, as well as some naturally occurring radionuclides (radium 226, thorium 232, potassium 40, and cesium 137).

Assessment of Radionuclide Pollution of Medicinal Vegetable Raw Materials of the Voronezh Region on the Example of Flowers of Pizhma Ordinary

The Voronezh region traditionally is the most important region of crop production and agriculture. A research objective was the study of pollution by natural and artificial radionuclides of medicinal vegetable raw materials in the Voronezh region on flowers of a tansy ordinary, collected across all territory of the area in urbo-and the agroecosystems which are affected by various anthropogenic influence.
