The Results of the Inventory of the Lepidoptera Fauna (Insecta: Lepidoptera) of the Volga-Ural Region

Presents the distribution of 3489 species of Lepidoptera from 83 families on the basic administrative units of the region. To the base list of E. Eversmann added 2209 species, 35 species were removed from the list as incorrectly identified previously, reliably disappeared in the region or accidentally introduced. Among the newly discovered species 2 were new for Europe and 3 for Russia.

Methodical Principles of the Procedure of Entering and Deleting Biological Species in the Third Edition of the Red Data Book of the Saratov Region

Basic principles underlying the methodology of the procedure of entering and deleting biological species in regional Red Data Books are shown. With Natrix tessellate as an example, an algorithm is demonstrated to exclude a species from the list of rare and endangered animals needing special protection measures. As a result of our longterm field studies of the N. tessellata populations, a positive trend in the abundance change in its population and in the spectrum of biotopical correspondence and geographical distribution within the Saratov region has been established.

The Structure of Morphological Variability and Vitaliti in the Populations of Tulipa Gesneriana L. in the Lower Volga Region and Adjacent Territories

During four field seasons (2013–2016.) conducted a study of the structure of morphological variability and vitality. 38 populations of Tulipa gesneriana in several areas of the Lower Volga region and adjacent territories. The significant variability in the vitality structure of the populations as on the interpopulation level, and year. It is revealed that years of observation in General, most populations of the species were quite pronounced tendency for a gradual reduction of vitality. from 2013 to 2015 and significantly improve the plants in them in 2016.

Ecological Problems of the Saratov Region in Year Environment and the Year of Specially Protected of Natural Territories

The ecological problems of the Saratov region in the Year of Ecology and Protected Areas are discussed: the degradation and destruction of natural complexes, the reduction of species biological diversity and its causes, the need to expand the network of regional SPNA, reduce atmospheric pollution, hydrosphere and lithosphere (limiting emissions of harmful substances and reagents, non-waste technologies, introduction of alternative energy, modern technologies for waste processing and wastewater treatment), soil fertility conditions, growth new technogenic pollutants (ele

The article describes the new experience of the long-term use of the Malaise trap (tent trap) for the season 2018–2019 on the territory of the National Park «Khvalynsky» (Saratov province).
