Solid-phase sorbents based on synthetic nanofibers and glauconite for extracting magneson I from aqueous media

A comparative evaluation of the sorption capacity of synthetic and natural sorbents with respect to phenol and some of its derivatives has been carried out. Electrospun nanofi bers based on polyamide-6 (PA-6) were obtained under optimal conditions from a spinning solution of a polymer dissolved in a mixture of formic and acetic acids. The preparation of the clay mineral by the sieve method has been carried out, while the enriched fraction of glauconite (200–500 microns) has been isolated.

Adsorption of Fe2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Cd2+ Cations Using Granular Glauconite Sorbents

The adsorption properties of granular glauconite sorbents and their modified analogues against with respect to Fe2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Cd2+ cations were studied and compared with natural untreated samples. The process was carried out in a static mode. The maximum adsorption of samples and the calculated adsorption equilibrium constants were determined. It was established that modified sorbents possessed the most activity adsorption against cations in pelleted samples. Modification was carried during sequential heat and acid-salt treatment.

Glaukonit’s Influence on Viability and Development Seeds of Some Grain Crops

It is defined macro- and microelement composition of glaukonite ore of the Beloozersky field of the Saratov region. It is established that it contains a set macro- and the minerals necessary for a mineral delivery of plants. The possibility of application of the studied glaukonite as tools for processing of seeds of grain seeding before crops, on the example of seeds of wheat and rye is considered.

Studying of Sorption Methylene Blue Onto Glauconite

Sorptive properties of a natural mineral glauconite towards methylene blue were studied and a composite of both substances was obtained. Antibacterial activity of the composite has been assessed against Staphylococcus aureus FDA 209P. An enriched fraction of natural glauconite was obtained by method of magnetic separation. Surface morphology of the glauconite was examined with scanning electron microscopy. The elemental composition was investigated using energy-dispersive microanalysis and roentgen fluorimetry, the texture – using Brunauer–Emmett–Teller analysis.

Glauconite as a sorbent of 4-nitrophenol

The sorption properties of glauconite from Beloozersk deposits (Saratov region) for 4-nitrophenol (4-NF) have been investigated. The effect of glauconite on pH and 4-nitrophenol structure in solution is estimated. It is shown that glauconite increases pH of aqueous environment to 8 and shifts the equilibrium towards the formation of aci-form 4-NF. The conditions of sorption 4-NF by glauconite are established: the sorption time 20 min, the mass of the sorbent (0.50–1.0) g.

Antibacterial properties of a biologically active composite based on glauconite

Glauconite, a natural aluminosilicate, exhibits good sorption properties, is an affordable, cheap material, and has the prospect of being used in construction, ecology, medicine, cosmetology, animal husbandry, poultry farming, agriculture, etc. An urgent task is to study the sorption activity of glauconite in the Beloozersky deposit in the Saratov region in relation to biologically active substances for the creation of antimicrobial composites. The elemental composition and surface morphology of glauconite grains are determined.
